Please feel free to contact us for assistance with editorial features, for quotes or for anything else relating to drinks and their history.
The Trouble with Husbands is owned and run by Seren Charrington-Hollins, a food and drink historian, writer and specialist in anything and everything to do with spirits and mixed drinks.
If you are interested in writing for The Trouble with Husbands, you can either send us a proposed article that you’ve already written or send us a pitch for one you think would be a good fit for The Trouble with Husbands.
We publish articles of anywhere between 600–2,000 words, depending on subject complexity. 1,500 words is about average. Articles always run with photographs and illustrations. Articles may be casual in tone and content—great for less-intensive tutorials and posts—or lengthier, more detailed pieces, with a quirky edge. All should be well-considered explorations of alcohol, drinks or food that pairs well with wine.
We value creativity and we are always interested in something different! Keep in mind that we only accept original content—we do not publish anything that’s been published elsewhere (including on your blog).
Currently we don’t pay for submissions, but we are always happy to promote our contributors, their projects and add links to their websites etc.
Please don’t send us press releases or sales pitches. They make us feel sad inside and not even a well mixed Martini perks us up after perusing them.
